    Kookaburras

The Kookaburras caters for children from birth to 2 years.

These are crucial years for development, when children need the most guidance and support as they learn new skills. Routines are flexible and follow each child's individual needs, and we respect and include each family's values and culture in our routines and programs.

In a warm and nurturing environment, babies and young toddlers engage in sensory play, music, art and small group experiences that support them as they learn to talk, walk and begin to interact with others, building their fine and gross motor skills.

Educators provide plenty of care, comfort and nurturing so every child is happy, healthy and safe, and builds the foundations they need before moving to the Joeys.

The Joeys caters for children from 2 to 3 years.

At this age, children grow in independence, develop their own personalities and become more curious about the world around them. Our program supports children to recognise and begin to regulate their emotions, and to grow their imagination and creativity through play.

Children build self-help skills such as putting on their shoes and socks, feeding themselves, and helping to set up and pack away at rest time. Time outdoors in our natural playground, garden and with our animals supports their curiosity and confidence.

Educators offer consistent support and guidance as children develop confidence, social skills and meaningful relationships with their peers and educators before moving to the Echidnas.

    Echidnas

The Echidnas is our preschool room for children from 3 to 5 years. Children are split into two programs, the Preps and the Graduates, and learning is shaped around their interests.

    The Graduates
The Graduates are children starting school the following year. Through our daily transition-to-school program, they build foundation writing, pre-numeracy, cutting and pasting, and sequencing, matching and classifying skills, along with the social, emotional and self-help skills they need for a confident start to school.

    The Preps
The Preps are children who are not starting school the following year. They take part in an age-appropriate version of the program, building social, emotional and thinking skills through play, group times, memory games and early literacy and numeracy experiences.

Each day begins with an assembly, where children sing the National Anthem, share an Acknowledgement of Country and take part in Munch and Move experiences. Read more on our School Readiness Program page.
